Q1 Labs Continues Worldwide Growth with Expansion into Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Cisco and Juniper Veteran Appointed to Drive European Expansion and Support OEM Relationships

WALTHAM, Mass. - May 28, 2008 – On the heels of announcing its expansion into Asia-Pacific, Q1 Labs, a leading network security management company, today announced the continued growth of its global footprint with aggressive plans for its expansion in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

To accelerate the adoption of Q1 Labs' flagship product, QRadar, into the EMEA territory and assist with the success of its worldwide OEM partners, Q1 Labs appointed seasoned sales and data network security veteran, Matthew Nunney, to EMEA Theater Director.

The European market in many ways mirrors the United States in terms of the market drivers for security information and event management (SIEM) solutions like Q1 Labs' QRadar. QRadar helps customers meet their log management, threat management, and compliance validation requirements across network and security infrastructures.

According to Gartner's March 2008 Dataquest Insight: Forecast Analysis for Security Information and Event Management, Worldwide, 2007-2012, "SIEM is one of the fastest-growing security markets, with a growth rate of more than 50 percent in 2006 and estimated revenue reaching more than $800 million in 2007. Overall spending on this technology will continue to increase as a broader set of companies apply the technology to address regulatory compliance and threat management issues."

Q1 Labs continues to outstrip market growth rates and this expansion is a direct response to increased customer demand in Europe and the need to support the company's worldwide OEM partnerships with Enterasys, Juniper Networks, and Nortel.

Nunney will be responsible for managing Q1 Labs' London-based office which will also serve the company's existing customer base and regional partner network. Q1 Labs has existing customers in Germany, Sweden, Latvia, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the UK as well as 15 authorized reseller partners across EMEA.

"The expansion of our executive sales management team in Europe aligns with the company's overall global sales strategy," said Jon Fraleigh, vice president of worldwide sales at Q1 Labs. "Our European-based business grew by 200 percent in 2007 and we are on track to surpass that growth rate in 2008. The addition of Matthew Nunney to our sales team is a natural progression and his contacts in the industry are invaluable to our continued growth and success in this market."
