Q1 Labs Announces QRadar 2000: Simple Security and Network Monitoring for the SMB Market
“All-in-One” appliance designed for sale and delivery exclusively through select Q1 Labs channel partners
INTEROP – Las Vegas –May 22, 2007 – Q1 Labs, a leading network security management company, today unveiled QRadar™ 2000, the company’s ‘all-in-one’ appliance offering of its flagship product specially priced and packaged for the small to medium sized business (SMB). Specifically designed for sales and delivery exclusively through select Q1 Labs channel partners, QRadar 2000 provides the power of Q1 Labs’ enterprise-class product at a price that works for today’s SMB.
Due to budget constraints and limited resources, the network and security teams within a typical SMB are often one and the same. In many cases, the ‘team’ consists of a single person to manage and monitor both the network and security infrastructure. Lack of resources combined with more distributed networks means that administrators are being bombarded with logs and information that is hard to collect and make sense of manually. On top of this, new policy and audit requirements like PCI are adding another layer of complexity for the already overburdened SMB administrator.
Offering full log management, security event correlation and network behavior analysis capabilities, QRadar 2000 helps address these challenges by empowering SMB administrators with the ability to efficiently and affordably manage both network and security business operations from a single console. Threat management, log management and compliance monitoring are no longer out of reach for those SMB customers who previously have not been able to afford or deploy traditional security event management solutions.
“Today’s SMBs are faced with the same network and security challenges as large enterprise organizations, but with only a fraction of the budget and resources to address these challenges, they cannot always keep up with demands,” said Tom Turner vice president of marketing for Q1 Labs. “QRadar 2000 is the only product currently available to the SMB market that brings best-of-breed network and security monitoring to customers at prices that even a CFO can live with.”
The QRadar 2000 will be delivered exclusively through select Q1 Labs Channel partners who are already providing solutions to SMB customers.
“There are many of our small to mid-size customers who are experiencing the same threat management and compliance reporting pain as larger organizations,” said Kevin Haley, founder of Netanium Network Security. “QRadar 2000 provides an affordable and easy to implement package for them.”
